This October, our team has been enhancing Brink Commerce to serve your eCommerce needs better. We’ve introduced significant features, resolved numerous bugs, and implemented several quality-of-life improvements to streamline your operations.

Here’s a rundown of what’s new:

Order Management Enhancements

We’ve added the ability to update order lines before delivery:

  • Update Order Lines: Now, you can adjust order details before shipping with a few guidelines:
  • Pre-Delivery Changes Only: Modifications are allowed only before the order is dispatched.
  • Total Amount Restrictions: The total order amount can’t increase; the customer will receive a refund if it decreases.

Use Cases:

  • Product Variations: Customers can change the size or color of a product.
  • Price Adjustments: Switching to a lower-priced item results in a refund; upgrading to a higher-priced item is possible if the merchant applies a discount to maintain the original total.
  • Order Line Removal: Customers can remove items from their order.

Shopper-Friendly Pricing Updates

To promote transparent and compliant pricing, we’ve implemented the following feature:

  • Historical Lowest Price: For campaigns running up to 60 days, the lowest price from the 30 days preceding the campaign start will be displayed. This ensures compliance and offers shoppers full transparency.

Example:

If a product’s base price is 1000, and a campaign reduces it to 900, the displayed historical lowest price would be 1000 until a new lower price is reached during the campaign.

Merchant Portal: Bundles Made Easy

We’ve enhanced the Merchant Portal to streamline bundle management:

  • Bundle Management: Merchants can now create, edit, and view product bundles directly within the Merchant Portal, simplifying the process and saving valuable time.

These updates are designed to improve operational efficiency and enhance your customers' shopping experience.
