We are constantly pushing the boundaries of what a modern, composable commerce platform can do. Our goal is simple: build the most efficient, flexible, and high-performing e-commerce infrastructure for our merchants. This means continuously improving our platform with features that not only enhance operational efficiency but also drive revenue growth, because success over time lies in the details.

Here’s a look at what’s currently in progress and why it matters.

Keeping Your Orders Under Control – Order Comments in Merchant Portal

One of the most important aspects of order management is context. Decisions around refunds, deliveries, and modifications are often made based on past actions and customer interactions, yet much of that history is scattered across systems or lost in manual notes. That’s why we’re introducing order comments in the Merchant Portal—giving CX teams the ability to add contextual notes directly to an order’s timeline.

This means every relevant action—deliveries, refunds, modifications—will be logged alongside who performed it and why. No more guesswork, no more backtracking. This feature will significantly improve internal collaboration, reduce miscommunication, and ensure that all stakeholders have full visibility into an order’s history.

Custom States – Because One Size Doesn’t Fit All

Every merchant operates differently, and forcing rigid workflows can be a major bottleneck. That’s why we’re rolling out Custom States in Order Management, allowing merchants to define their own order statuses that reflect how their business actually operates.

Need a dedicated “Review” state before an order is shipped? Done. Want to add a “Fraud Check” or “Awaiting Approval” step to your workflow? No problem. And because these states are integrated into Brink’s state machine, you can even control whether an order in a certain state can be modified, delivered, or canceled.

This is a game-changer for merchants that have complex order flows, giving them complete control while ensuring operational consistency.

Upselling at the Right Moment – Post-Purchase Upsell on Confirmation Page

Driving revenue isn’t just about acquiring customers—it’s about maximizing every transaction. We’re introducing Post-Purchase Upsell, allowing merchants to offer additional products immediately after a purchase is completed.

This feature integrates directly with Qliro, meaning customers won’t have to go through another checkout process or enter payment details again. Instead, the additional products seamlessly get added to their existing order and are shipped together.

Why does this matter? Because post-purchase upselling is one of the most effective ways to increase average order value (AOV) without adding friction to the buying experience. It’s high-converting, seamless, and a pure revenue driver.

Events 2.0 – Smarter, More Efficient Integrations with API Destination-Based Filtering

One of our key goals at Brink is to make integrations as efficient as possible. Right now, merchants receive all events across all their systems—even if only a specific system actually needs them. That’s changing with API Destination-Based Event Filtering.

With this update, merchants can control who gets what. Your ERP only needs order updates? Done. Your search & merchandising system only needs stock events? Easy.

This gives merchants better control over data flow, reduces unnecessary processing, and optimizes system performance across integrations. It’s a small change with a massive impact on efficiency.

What’s Next?

These updates are just the beginning. At Brink Commerce, we’re focused on solving real merchant pain points—whether it’s better order control, smarter sales strategies, or more efficient integrations. Every feature we ship is designed to make commerce faster, more flexible, and more profitable for our merchants.

If you want to discuss any of these updates further, feel free to reach out. Let’s build the future of commerce together.
