The deliveries function in Merchant Portal allows you to manually mark orders that were completed outside of Brink Commerce as delivered.
With Deliveries, you can:
Mark orders as completed
Decide how to update payment, shipping, gift card providers
Follow the progress of a delivery
Steps to Create and Manage a Delivery
1. Find the Order to Manage
Navigate to the Orders section in the Merchant Portal.
Select Orders from the menu and find the order you want to manage.
2. Manage the Order
In the top right corner of the order page, click Actions, then select Manage Order.
3. Access the Deliveries Tab
You’ll be taken to a new page with three tabs: Deliveries, Refunds, and Compensations.
Ensure you are on the Deliveries tab and click Create Delivery Draft.
4. Edit the Delivery Draft
A draft based on the order is created. If the order contains multiple order lines (products), you can modify which items are included in the delivery:
To exclude an order line, click the Undo button in the draft pane.
To include an order line, click the Deliver button in the order pane.
Adjust Quantity: If needed, increase or decrease the quantity for each order line.
Include or Exclude Shipping Costs: You can choose whether to include the shipping costs in the delivery.
5. Proceed to the Next Step
Once you’re satisfied with the items and quantities in the delivery draft, click Next.
6. Select Delivery Actions
In the next step, you’ll see the delivery draft on the left and a pane with Delivery Actions on the right. The actions allow you to decide how to handle shipping, payment, and gift cards:
Auto: Brink Commerce will automatically perform all necessary actions as it would in a normal order.
Manual: The order will be marked as manually completed, but no automatic actions will be taken.
Skip: Actions will be skipped entirely for the selected process (shipping, payment, or gift cards).
7. Finalize the Delivery
Once you’re happy with the delivery actions, click Finalize Order.
8. Follow Delivery Progress
A status dialog will open where you can track the progress of the delivery.
Click Refresh Status to get the most up-to-date information.
9. View Delivery Result
After the process is completed, click OK to view the result of the delivery. If everything was successful, the delivery will be marked as completed.
19. Handle Delivery Errors (If Necessary)
If so something goes wrong during the delivery process, you will have the option to restart the delivery and attempt to complete it again.
