In Brink Commerce, inventories represent the locations where your products are stored. You can manage multiple inventories and assign them to different Store Markets (countries).

With inventories, you can:

  • Create and manage multiple inventories
  • Assign them to Store markets (countries)
  • Use multiple inventories per Store market

Introduction to Inventories

In Brink Commerce, inventories represent the locations where your products are stored. You can manage multiple inventories and assign them to different Store Markets (countries). Each Store Market can utilize several inventories, such as a main inventory and a store sales inventory. Conversely, inventories can be linked to multiple Store Markets. Prioritizing inventories for each Store Market is essential and is done within the settings of each Store Market.

Steps to Create an Inventory

  1. Navigate to Inventories
    • Open the Stores section and select Inventories from the menu.
  2. Add a New Inventory
    • In the top right corner, click the + Add New Inventory button.
  3. Fill in Inventory Details
    • Provide the following information:
    • Identifier: A unique code or ID for the inventory.
    • Name: The name of the inventory.
    • Description: A brief description of the inventory.
    • City: The city where the inventory is located.
    • Country: The country where the inventory is based.
    • Postal Code: The postal code for the inventory’s location.
    • Region: The region within the country.
    • Street Address: The specific street address of the inventory.
  4. Click “Save”
    • Once all the details are entered, click Save to create the inventory

Steps to Update an Inventory

  1. Select the Inventory to Update
    • In the list of inventories, click on the inventory you want to update.
  2. Edit Inventory Details
    • Make the necessary changes to the inventory’s details.
  3. Click “Save” to apply the changes.

Steps to Delete an Inventory

  1. Select the Inventory to Delete
    • In the list of inventories, click on the inventory you want to delete.
  2. Delete the Inventory
    • Click the Delete button.
    • For security reasons, you’ll be prompted to enter the name of the inventory to confirm the deletion.
  3. After entering the inventory name, click Delete to permanently remove the inventory.
